There are now several easy ways to pay for parking in Galway City. 

Choose the option that suits you best:

  • App: download the Galway City Parking app (Android and iPhone).
  • Website: pay at www.GalwayCityParking.ie
  • Phone: call our parking payment lines - (091) 894 300
  • In-store (cash or card): pay at any Payzone retail store – look for the pink Payzone logo, view a list of Payzone retailers in Galway City, or view the map of Payzone locations in Galway City.

Public Participation: Identification of Bathing Waters

Local authorities must identify official bathing areas in their area every year so that they can be monitored for safety, water quality and their level of use. To help with this process, Galway City Council are asking people who swim at beaches, lakes and rivers to tell them if they think they should maintain existing designated bathing waters designations or give a new official bathing area designation to areas that are commonly used for swimming, but not identified at the moment.

Public invited to give views on proposed bus gate for Bun a Chnoic / Cnoc an Óir

Galway City Council is inviting members of the public to give their views on proposals for a new bus gate which would enhance bus services for residents in the Circular Road / Letteragh Road areas of the city. A Drop-In Public Information Event related to this proposal will be held on Wednesday, November 26.

Galway City Council Sets Ambitious Vision for Budget 2026

A clear and ambitious vision for investment in services is proposed in the Galway City Council Budget Book 2026 - with additional funding targeting housing delivery; street cleaning; Galway City Museum redevelopment; homeless supports; maintenance of community facilities; footpaths; grant schemes; planting and maintenance crews; a new disability access officer; alongside measures to strengthen tourism and economic delivery.
